If you didn’t enroll in Marketplace health insurance during the 2017 Open Enrollment Period, you may still be able to get coverage for the rest of 2017 two ways.

2 ways to get covered for the rest of 2017

  • Special Enrollment Periods: If you have a certain type of life event — like losing health coverage, getting married, or having a baby — you may be able to enroll in a Marketplace plan for the rest of 2017.

  • Medicaid and CHIP: You can apply for free or low-cost coverage through Medicaid and CHIP any time, all year. If you qualify, you can enroll immediately.

If you already know you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, Medicaid, or CHIP, you can start an application now.
