A young man has slaughtered a merchant with a knife inside a mosque in a village in Daqahliya Governorate, while performing Friday prayers.
Marwan Habib, head of Daqahliya Security Directorate, received a report stating that a person had been slaughtered inside the Sultan Mosque in the village of Mit Sudan, during Friday prayers.
According to initial investigation, the victim is named al-Sherbiny Awad al-Metwaly al-Khawaga and he died of his wounds after a young man slaughtered him with a bladed weapon inside the mosque.
The body of the victim was transferred to Dikirnis General Hospital, the murderer was arrested, and the prosecutors were notified for investigation.
